Wheel Cleaner

Hello everyone, I have recently put 1000 miles on my new car. The wheels are very dirty, does anyone recommend any cleaners easy to use and does the job well? Also are Brake Bombers worth it?

Ceramic or waxing them helps significantly. I use P21s car wash......spray it on, wait a few minutes and rinse off. Heavy brake dust will require some elbow grease. Frequent washing eliminates heavy brake dust.

dommmmmmmmm Keep in mind that I live in the south and not subjected to snow, ice, road salt, etc. Makes a big diff. As I said I'd start with a complete clean and wax.

Anything that is not acid-based but has iron remover in it. Sonax is great. Meguiar's Ultimate has a good one too.

Would you recommend P21s?

P21S is fine, but it is fairly expensive and it won't handle brake dust (which is the main issue with BMWs) as well as something with iron remover.

I've used P21s carnauba wax for 20 years for waxing the car. Use a ceramic on the wheels. Chemical Guys makes a good product. After that P21s spray car wash will remove brake dust in a flash. I've also used Zaino products and like them.

I have been using Sonax for the last 10 years on all of my BMW's as M-sport brake pad are prone to more dust.

Let it sit for 3-5 min. when the color is red/purple. Wash with pressure washer and wheels are newer than factory.

and this for tire cleaner which makes brownish tire as sparkling new shinny black.

P&S Brake Buster is my go to for wheels. It’s a non-acid cleaner and is safe for all wheels. Rather inexpensive by comparison, also. Works best when you can agitate it, but will also remove brake dust with a spray on and rinse off (let it sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing).
