exhaust tips on 40i

anyone have any instructions on how to remove them ? I would like to powder coat them in black.

I don't have mine yet, but they are fake, not attached to the muffler by the looks of it, just built into the diffuser assembly. Here is the pic of the assembly, looks like it is just 2 bolts holding it.

Has anyone seen any of those adhesive exhaust tips that you can stick on top of stock ones? They usually split each opening into 2 and have different colors

I know but sites like AliExpress.com make specific ones to fit BMWs, but apparently they haven't made them yet for the G05. They usually take a while for delivery but are cheap and good quality.

This isn't an easy diy unless you want to lay on your back feeling for bolts for a couple hours. It's easier with a car lift and all the right tools.

These stick on trims seem worth a gamble at £30 ($35 or so?) compared to genuine ones at over 10x that price, plus fitting!

Has anyone fitted them?
