Done! Couple of small challenges but all in all, it fits as it should.
Too tired to get to the details.will do that later. Performance aside, this looks incredible. |

Here are the two modifications/challenges needed to make this fit on an M50i. (1) the rubber bellows which connect the intake housing to the turbo inlets will require some skill. The angle (see video) where the two ends meet isn’t perfectly flush. The rubber bellows will sit tight on one end of the turbo inlet but will be loose in the opposite. Why? The rubber bellows have a larger diameter than the M50i intake/turbo inlets. F95 must be larger one would presume. As you tighten the rubber bellow, you’ll need to keep one end of the rubber pulled and secured. Because it’s larger it will want to shrink and pull off the turbo inlet as you tighten the clamps. You will also need to adjust the angle of the clamp to secure it to the turbo inlet due I the angle. I’m pretty handy and with common sense, one could figure this out once they’re doing it. Sounds much more complicated than what I’ve described but it does take some trial and error to get it just right. (2) Once you mount the large CF center piece you will notice it won’t sit completely flat when you’re ready to secure it to the intake housing. This is because there is a bracket underneath which has some tubing clipped to it. The tubing is what is pushing up, under the center piece. See pic. Give the bracket a good push down to bend it a bit and it will help the tubing clear the underside.
That’s it! Cutting the radiator cover was a little scary at first but once you make the first cut, don’t look back! It was all worth it. Will drive later today. |

Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/XPK-LjdPL...RjQKfNjmm9QcID As for sound, no whoosh but I’m OK with that. Might get annoying over time. The exhaust seems a decibel louder as does the engine when punching it. Low end torque seems more responsive. Last edited by PNWM50I; 10-28-2023 at 05:35 PM.. |

Thanks! M-strut brace sitting in my garage at the moment. A little nervous about removing and installing the small bracket on the firewall at the top of the engine. Is it difficult? I also purchased the F95 oil neck filler part to allow the brace to fit. That looks pretty simple to swap.
