2021 xDriver 40i - JB+ or Dinantronics Sport Performance Tuner?

What's the pros/cons of the JB+ vs Dinantronics Sport Performance Tuner? I plan to only run 91 OCT gas and am interested in mostly low-end gains and passing power on the hwy.

I am new to forum and to G05. I had a E60 545i many moons ago. It's been so long I have to re-sign up here LOL

And while we are on the subject, why would someone go JB4 vs JB+ or go Dinantronics X vs the Sport Performance Tuner? Oh, and I noticed some of you prefer RaceChip, they also have the S version that's comparable to the SPT and the JB+ it seems, how does one pick??

I am in GTA Canada if anyone wants to point me to a shop that's reputable and has amazing service for newbies like me.

All these simple boost adders work precisely the same. Get the one you like the most

Newbie here... can you explain why the JB+ and the Dinan both produce about the same results but the JB+ only needs to be plugged in to the TMAP sensor on the charge pipe?

Not to high jack the post. A separate question along side the topic, are these devices a simple plug in and go type or it does required computer tunning once you installed the device on ur car ?

Appreciate all the help.

Both options are boost adders. You or the manufacturer will specify a certain boost level, which is added across the RPM range. As long as the you are adding the same PSI value, the power output will be identical, regardless of the brand or logo on the packaging

So I shouldn't read anything into why the Dinan also plug into the intake pipe?

It does not make any difference when it comes to how much power you are adding.

so put another way, is there any benefit (other than power being added) to pick one over the other?

I'd check with Dinan on why they are using a second connection, i believe the goal is to deliver a smoother output where you are getting the same max power as any other boost controller, but its not as abrupt.
