40i M Performance Exhaust

That's amazing .. been thinking about adding this mod on my X6 .. sure sounds loud enough on comfort mode .. I wonder if it pops on sports + mode

Very nice! How much louder is it compared to stock? Any other videos like revs/driving?

I'll put up a driving/revs video when I get a chance. I would 100% recommend this exhaust - it creates a much more visceral/enjoyable driving experience. I drove a GLC43 AMG previously, and I would say that this exhaust is definitely on par ito loudness.

Good to hear. Is it valved still, and if so does it work like the original exhaust? Can you use Comfort mode to tame the loudness, say if my wife was driving?

I generally keep it in Comfort mode with my wife and kids in the car. Still sounds good, but more muted vs. Sport and Sport Plus, especially since you will be keeping RPMs lower in Comfort.

I had the exhaust installed by my dealer prior to delivery. They had to order it from Germany (I am in NY).

Thanks for posting what you have so far. I know now 100% more than I used to. If you do get the chance, I’d love to hear both exterior sound and the inside the cabin sound as well. Particularly high rev gear changes and downshifts! I want this exhaust soooooo much. The X5 may be the closest thing I have to a sports car for the next 15 years, so I’d love to make it sound the part. Getting it closer to the 3 or x3 M40i exhaust would be perfect.

Edit: additional question: does it have the gurgles and pops on downshift? That may be an ecu tuning thing, but I hope it does
