MY22 Production happening!

My original week 34 then 32, now 31 has begun real production with a completion date of Aug 2nd. Hope for Guys & Gals worried about chips etc etc.

I just got a production number and trying to figure out what build week my allocation is!

Thanks! Dealer in NJ put the order in June 26. Call the genius line with your production number and they will give you your production week / date. Once mine accelerated to week 31 they told me Thursday and then Monday. BMW just need to get approval from EPA for MY22 when cleared VPC to release, which should hopefully be soon. 👍🍺☘️

Excellent, they must have wanted to get an early start on the year. Hopefully EPA cert comes through and you can schedule PCD.

Yikes that's neat. Wonder how you got bumped up three full weeks! Yours will be one of the very first 22s off the line I'd imagine.

Thanks. It's a bit of an oddity right now with the epa hold and I understand there are no tours for the last week of August. I will post when I know more on the PCD. The flights are all over the place - from 770 to 149 direct from EWR and the prices change hourly and daily on google flights.

Just notified 8.23 for PCD but flying on a Sunday is 3x price so waiting to see what they come back with.

Apparently the holds were lifted. MY 2022 X40i completed production on Saturday. Tentatively scheduled PCD on 8/18. Waiting on confirmation email.

I ordered a 2022 xdrive40i that was completed last Saturday morning and immediately went to a carrier. It had not moved with the carrier so I checked Genius this morning regarding a possible EPA hold. They advised that there was NO EPA HOLD. The carrier is free to deliver. Good news for all!

Just confirmed for Friday 8.27. Hopefully my car makes it out of Quality Control where it has been sitting since yesterday!

woooww. that fast progress. Mine was stuck in "production begins" for 3 weeks. Then Suddenly in 2 days got moved to "QC" stage..
