Saw the price ordering guide in another forum, and thought I'd share with y'all since I hadn't seen it posted yet.

Thanks for sharing!

A few interesting tidbits here:
- No more Vernasca leather, instead either Sensafin or for real leather need to step up to Merino
- Driving Assistant Pro is not available until 12/2022. Supposedly it will switch hardware for future more autonomy support?
- Passenger lumbar support deletion is back
- Third-row seating is back
- Harman/Kardon is back for all models

It also looks like Gesture Control is gone as well.

Motorway/Highway Assistant was supposed to come out in the LCI but maybe they are introducing it early. My guess though is that it is a supply issue rather than the upgraded system since the description is for DAP.

Apologies for the stupid question but is this for the LCI 2023 version of the x5?

From my understanding the LCI X5 will be MY24.

Yeah, good point. They probably can't even enable more advanced automation without further legal approvals, that could be another reason why description is the same (but hardware may be changed over).

Or like you said, could be supply shortage - we already saw similar shortage of DAP components earlier.

This makes me sad because my allocation for a 45e should be up this month, atleast thats what I'm told - the dealer assumes they'll be getting an allocation here shortly this month. While I didn't care whether it was a 2022 or 2023 model year, getting Driver Assistant Professional is a deal breaker for me. The ordering guide shows production on the 2023 models start 08/2022, does that means July will be 2022 model years? If so, anyone know if my allocation comes up this month if it would be produced in July?

July build typically would be still 2022 MY so you should get DAP unless new part shortages prevent it. If it slips into August, tough to say. There is a short factory break during August (don’t recall the exact dates for this year). Before that break it’s 22 models. Thereafter it’s 23. As far as your allocation timing versus build timing, you would do best to ask your dealer how they define it. My dealer explained that a given month allocation for him does not lock in the exact week of the build until BMW tells him the week the build starts. And the latter is not guaranteed lately if certain parts or requested options are caught in a supply shortage. But if you currently are designated for a June allocation then even if the build slips into July, you’d still be good for a 22 MY.

A couple fine print details for prospective MY2023 M50i shoppers:

1. Alcantara (suede) headliner requires getting exec package since premium package is no more for that trim.

2. Unless it’s a typo… trailer hitch can no longer be combined with dynamic handling package

…And it looks like the trailer hitch is off the configurator menu again right now for MY22 (sigh)

The allocations coming out soon should be for July and it will be a 22. Unfortunately it seems they have been pushing some June builds back into July so there will likely be less allocations available than usual, hopefully you get yours.

Thanks folks very informative! Worst case if my allocation ends up being a 2023 I’ll get a 2023 M340 and then wait for the X5 LCI next year. That’s what I decided after sleeping on it .

That might be the smarter choice especially if the M340 holds it value better than the 45e. Not sure if you plan on trading it in for the 50e.

Did anyone notice wireless charging is included in premium package but not included or available with executive package? Doesn't make any sense when executive package is supposed to be include everything in premium. I think it's a typo but can't be sure.

Yes, is likely a typo but who knows which one is wrong. My guess is the Premium.

With X5 active driving assistant is a standard feature. What does it come with. I could not find details.

Bit disappointing that DAP is not available in 2023 till 12/22. Is DAP worth to wait or can we go with the standard active driving assistant?

Besides the dynamic cruise control (not adaptive, dynamic just adds braking to keep the speed downhill) , it includes front collision warning, blind spot warning, lane departure warning and speed limit info.

I personally would not buy a vehicle without adaptive cruise control so in that case I would be waiting until DAP was available.
