The more pictures of the LCI I see, the more I think it looks best in medium to light colors to show off all of the aggressive design features, which I love.

The pre-LCI I thought looked best in dark colors, specifically black.

RE: Logo Those have historically been put on for European vehicles that are M performance or MSport but not done for US vehicles.

Yes, you should be able to order them and put them on. There are a few threads somewhere with the exact measurements for placement.

I hear you on the wheels. I have the 22" on my current ride (a 2020) and wanted something smaller on my next order, to take a little edge off the choppy roads we have here. Was considering both the square 20" setup like yours or the 21s, but neither looks right with the rest of the full blackout trim.

Looks like I'm one of the lucky ones... my car has been in "Quality check" (155) since April 4th. There's another M60i (headed to a dealership about 60 miles from my dealership) I'm tracking that was built a day before mine and it has been "At the port" (193) for about the last week.

I'm wondering if anyone has actually taken delivery of an M60i yet? Any news on yours, mjchernis ?

This is the email I received from my CA:

"Order Already in!!!

Production flip date will be about 5/22 and will let you know for assembly.

The production number on the top left is the tracking number for now ..... but not much until it happens!"

That must be his terminology for when it goes into Production Begins status. Once that happens then the production date will be assigned.

There is really nothing else to know until you go into Production Begins. From his email it would seem your Production week is Week 23. You can always give Genius a call and confirm that.

Hey everyone

So this will be my first time owning a BMW. In January I put a deposit down for a MY24 X5 M60i. At the time I spec'd it in Lime Rock Grey with the black merino leather, and black 22 inch rims, enhanced pkg etc. Also the SA I had dealt with was a really nice and helpful. A few weeks after giving the deposit I got a call from another SA at my local BMW dealership saying the previous SA I was dealing with had quit and now the deal is going through him. I was a little confused but didn't think much of it at the time. About a month later I decided to change the colour of the vehicle to Malachite Green/tartufo leather interior and switched the rims to the 22 inch multispoke in orbit grey (new ones for MY24). At first the new SA was trying to convince me not to switch but i was persistent and he had asked me to email him the new spec to forward it to the factory apparently. Keep in mind this whole time he's been telling me the car should be ready for delivery in roughly July/August 2023. A month later he randomly calls me to tell me that since I had optioned the M Sport Pro Package I am required to have only red brake calipers, when I actually would prefer the blue ones. I let it go and just said whatever but still on the bill of sale that I signed it shows the blue brake calipers listed in the options I spec'd. Since then he hadn't contacted me to let me know the status of production even though I know production has started as of April. I called him today to ask him if there is any status update, I was expecting him to tell me that the vehicle has already began production but now he's telling me that he doesnt know if the vehicle has begun production yet and that there apparently is a shortage for the M60i engines which is causing a delay but if I would like to switch to an 40i I can do so that I can get a x5 sooner which I told him that I would like to stick with the m60i even if I have to wait longer. I'm getting married this summer in August and was hoping Id take delivery of the vehicle before the wedding but now Im starting to think that wont be possible. I live in canada and apparently over here we are not able to check the status of our vehicle production online like how ppl who buy bmws in the states are able to. Below Ive attached a picture of the options ive selected. Let me know your thoughts and if there is anything I can do to find out more info about my vehicle

Welcome to the forum. All sounds normal in regards to the timeline. There is no shortage of M60i engines that we have heard of. You are ordering an Individual paint and that can add 8 to 12 weeks to the build time. Right now most are being scheduled out to week 28 through 31. They batch Individual paints and the schedule can change depending on the orders that they receive.

So I have a quick update. I called my SA and received the production number. Once I entered it it shows Order Received but the colour of my M60i is somehow silver. While I was on the phone with my SA he sent me a screenshot of what was on his screen which showed the exterior colour as Manhattan Metallic so I asked him what this was and that I signed the bill of sale which clearly stated Malachite Green. He said he would fix this and let me know on Monday, I was so worried. He called me back an hour later saying that he spoke to his manager and he sent him another screenshot which shows Malachite Green and reassured me that theres nothing to worry about. Also in the screenshot it shows that the production week is 18/05/2023 which he also mentioned to me over the phone. I almost had a heart attack when I first saw that screenshot that said Manhattan Metallic, I know i might be overreacting a little bit but its my first time ordering a new car from the factory, that too being a BMW I just want everything to go as planned. I do feel a lot better now knowing that it shows Malachite Green in their system and that the production week is in a few weeks
