It's probably happened to the best of us but not calculating the turn in ratio when you're in a little bit of a hurry and then you end up hitting the Curb an scratching your 22 inch alloy, wheels and
You get rim rash. I hit a curb going about 10 miles an hour. She's probably fine, but I'm just stressing.😱

Alignment may be thrown off, but it shouldn’t be bent.

Ouch! I feel you
If that’s any consolation - you are definitely not alone! My story is that I did that same thing just AFTER picking up and mounting freshly repainted set of 21” alloys on my previous car. It was literally my first or second outing with that set on the car. Ugh, that HURT Your scratch looks like something a proper shop can repair with no issues

We’ve all been there. Painful when it happens and flash backs for a few days. Doesn’t look bad.

Unrelated/related to the topic….. when I purchased mine, one of the wheels had a little curb rash. Took that into account when negotiating and figured I was just get it repaired. After a handful of calls/discussions from shops in my area, I’ve been told machined-face finished wheels can’t be (or they weren’t able to) repaired to the original finish.
Is this true and/or has anyone been able to refinish their machined-face wheels from curb rash? |
