How good are the cup holders at cooling? Is it diverting some air con airflow? Curious as i love chilled drinks.

I believe that they are based on Peltier technology. I wouldn't say they cool your drink; rather, they keep it from getting warm as quickly.

Actually the cooling holders are awesome, and they DO cool your drink, pretty impressively.

We played with it quite a bit last WE and were extremely impressed with it.

Not sure they are as good as warming up stuff, but the cold side is 2 thumbs up!

I got a blue X5 with the M sport plus pack and the tech pack and absolutely love it. So many X5s are black or grey so it’s nice to have something to stand out from the crowd.

How have folks in the UK had their software updated? My Connected Drive says no software update is available which I’m assuming is a load of rubbish. There’s nothing else wrong with the car so no other reason to take it into a dealer.

OTA updates are not yet available so you'll need your dealer to do it.

Ask them to search for your spec at production status 5000/5050 and 5055. They all count as "stock " vehicles. I was in a similar position to you back in February, one week there were 4 vehicles in Artic Grey with a spec close to what I was looking for the next week none so both Sytner and Coopers searched for vehicles about to go down the production line and both found the same vehicle. Coopers were much more competitive so they got the order and pulled the vehicle from another dealer.

I think the rush on these is the fact that there is a 2.9% offer on these and some smashing discounts at the moment.

I initially ordered a Phytonic Blue, Tech Pack, M Sport plus pack and Visibility pack + pano roof but dealer in Sytner Glasgow would not release despite me paying a despoit on it last week. Yans did you nick my car?

Ended up with same spec less Visibility pack but with adaptive Leds which im still happy with and Mineral white. Plus the new car is an August 2019 build so 2020 model year with black grill's etc.

Coming out of a white G30 and living in Essex, this is the perfect spec! haha

FYI if anyone is ordering now a 2020 model year car with M sport Plus will have M Seatbelts, Shadowline Grill and Exhaust Tips and Driver Recorder. Tech Pack with also have extra safety gear. If you dont have that, its a 2019 model year car.

and no i didn't nab yours!!! but someone nabbed my carbon black one. GRRRR!!!!!! the blue one will have sport plus pack, tech pack and sky lounge roof.... no vis pack or comfort pack.... wanted to save some monies!

i am waiting in anticipation now to see if the blue is mine or not or if someone has nabbed it since yesterday evening!!!!

if they have, i will buy a banger!

For me black is a winner. It's a git to keep clean however, when it is I don't think many colours beat it...however, I am biased!
