How to drain water from the X5?
I’ve got a 2019 X5 and it sounds like there’s water in the chassis or in lower body molding area.
No water in the doors. No visible water inside or on the carpet or anywhere. I’ve searched a number of the ‘sunroof drain fix’ threads and don’t see anywhere where I can locate a drain to get the water out. Any ideas as to where I can find the drains?

Still experiencing issues with the water in the frame. I found the source (drain tube cut during Stealth hitch install).
Anyone have any schematics of the drains so I can have my local mechanic try? I am at a real loss as to how to get this water out. TIA!

Hopefully someone else who has dealt with this before will chime in. You could, though risky, blow compressed air through them from the sunroof opening. The risky part is that you would not want them to disconnect as I somehow believe there are two or more connected together to make the long reach to the bottom of the car. . |

There is a drain in each corner of the sunroof.
Front ones are easy to check. They drain out an opening near the front door hinge on each side. The rear drains exit behind the rear wheel inner splash shields. |

Do you know if the drain hoses are one single length or are there two serially connected sections on one or more? Looks like a connector at the bottom end of them but I would have thought the diagram would have shown the extensions

The diagram shows them (i think) as mostly 1 piece with the exception of the bottom, which appear to be connected to the actual outside frame connecting tube.

Thanks, I have water in what sounds like the frame. I need to find the drains in the body not the sunroof.

I think it might be. I will have to start taking panels off and see. So odd.

Do you see water on the door sills after a rain?
If you remove the door sill trim & clips, you will find holes you can stick a ~1/4" od tube thru and draw the water out. This happened on my E39. |

Thanks for the ideas.
No water in the doors. It’s been coming in after a drain hose was not put back during the Stealth Hitch install. I have traded the X5 for a 2023 X3 M40i.
