question, i.m new to BMW (been an AMG guy for a long time) for the new X5M Competition, does anyone have the exhaust diagram ? besides the 2ndary cats there is a what seems to be a silencer ( squared shape) exactly under the front seats ( where normally there is an X pipe in most cars. Has anyone removed this ? is there any drone after removal ? Thanx.

That's the resonator. Some guys remove them entirely and yes it will make louder and add drone. Others install an X-pipe. Dinan makes a new larger mid section with X pipe as well
