Turbo Cooldown - How long should you wait to turn off the car?
Hey folks,
This is my first boosted car, but seeing that I can't find anyone locally to install a remote starter w/ a turbo timer to shut off the car, how long should you realistically wait to cool down the turbo's to shut off the car safely? If I turn off the car immediately, I keep hearing these ticking sounds like metal is starting to compress very fast and going brittle and what not.... don't know how else to explain it. Thanks.

It was a built in electric pump to cool down the turbos...so u don't need a turbo timer...the sound ur hearing is normal cool down procedure

That loud ticking your hearing is more likely comming from your exhaust system as it cools it will make that noise - it should go away after a while - it did the same thing on my car.
There is no turbo cool down needed - car has a electric water pump that will run when car is off (as stated above) there is no cool down needed.
