Lol I might be wrong but I think he was referring to the matte cf as opposed to the gloss cf. In which case, I'd be interested too. I just bought some 3M cf vinyl from a member and might be wrapping my spoiler in it but would like to see how it might look in matte cf before doing so.

No worries, last weekend I found some time to finally wrap my mirror caps and spoiler (interior trim project next). Here's how they look with flash off and on. I don't have pics of it mounted on my car yet but it wouldn't be on AW anyway since I have EB2. Hope this helps.

They weren't hard to remove per se but if you're anything like me then you might get a little paranoid about breaking the clips behind the cap. I started pulling from the inner corner of each cap; you might have to use a little force initially. Once I got the corner unclipped I just ran a plastic trim removal tool along the sides and gently twisted it to help loosen the rest of the clips (might want to wrap something soft around the tool to prevent scratching or dinging the caps). You can probably yank on it after freeing the initial clip in the corner (do so at your own discretion) but like I said I was paranoid about breaking the clips.
As far as wrapping, if you've wrapped before it shouldn't be hard. If you haven't, it'll be a learning experience but I found heat to be your friend; just make sure you don't overheat the vinyl otherwise it might melt or tear very easily. Having a friend lend a hand is also recommended. Good luck!

http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/products...cmcflr1kg.aspx its made for carbon fiber. but the carbon fibre i used was actual weaved carbon fiber and it takes time since i had to sand it down and the multiple coats of resin. All in all if you go this route its pretty much oem looking depending how well u do it but thats how carbon fiber parts are made. Hope this helps. not sure what kind of wrap you used but you can always try adding resin on top of some test subjects. and to be honest i think it will still look good, the only difference would be that the weaves dont pop out as much.
