Might be cool looking with those vents. Would you paint it?

I'd paint and on a dark car for sure and leave a small bit exposed near the windshield maybe 2" max where it fades from paint into bare carbon (with clear coat). Since it's black up there by the wipers and whatnot it would be very stealth but a pretty nice touch. For light car not sure if I'd do that or just paint entirely.

That is an interesting idea. Might also look good if you were to leave the vents exposed as carbon fiber. Anyone know if those are functional or just for show? The price is not bad.....

"technically" they should extract hot air from under the hood.

Cool design. I'm not sure how I feel about Seibon products though.

I had the seibon m3 style hood on my 135i and the fitment and weave was great!

Perhaps their quality has gone up since they started. Way back in the day (8 years ago now probably), their quality and fitment was OK at best.

How's the quality of fitment? Seibon in the past weren't that good, but I wonder if they've since uped their quality of fitment.

Hoods look awesome! Surprised they're already producing for the 2 series.

In regards to Seibon's quality, you WILL need to put an extra two or three coats of clear on the hood once you get it. Otherwise, it will start to yellow from the sun, as their UV protection process is laughable at best. But other than that, they make an A+ product, in regards to fitment and quality. I've got an OE-style hood on my 2008 350z, and the fitment and quality are perfect. I had a shop add on two coats of clear, and I haven't had a problem with yellowing since.

I sent them a question on the OEM style hood. I am curious what the weight savings would be compared to the stock hood. This would also help the M235i....since it is a little heavy in the front on weight distribution.
