are all fuse taps the same?

I need to goto the store and get a fuse tap so I can hardwire my V1. Do I need a BMW specific fuse tap, or are all fuse tapes created equal?

just get the mini fuse tap. They are universal.

Here's the one I got at Autozone for $8 (I couldn't find it anywhere else), which I'm going to use to get the ignition-switched power for my boost gauge from the Homelink fuse. And BTW, what ever happened to Radio Shack staffing their stores with people who knew something about electronics? Jesus those guys are as dumb as a post.
