Downpipe Questions, Please Help

i was looking into catless down pipes, i had a few questions, and in doing a search and checking websites i was not able to get all my questions answered. if someone could please provide me with factually info i would greatly appreciate it thanks, here are my questions.

1. are the riss racings ones the only 3"? the ur and supersprint ones didn't say what size they were
2. are the down pipes the same for the sedans and coupes? the only thing i saw that it mention were for the xi and i
3. are they direct replacement? will the bolt to the factory turbo and factory turbo back exhuast? or is there some fabrication that needs to be done?

thanks

they're not 3"... they're 2.75.

All down pipes start at 3" coz that's the only way to fit on the car

direct replacement
i *think* but not 100% sure they fit all u mentioned

there's LOTS of threads and LOTS i mean LOTS of posts about it... do a search.

look bro... to fit on the car all DP's have to have 3" ending.

RR DP's used to be @ 3" then they decided they have some tampering to 2.75" at certain points.

i did do a search and pretty much everything i found were people saying "i think" or this is prototype and stuff like that, and like i said before on the websites RR was the only one that listed they are 3" and the others did not list there size, do you know what sizes the other ones are? and if they are the same as the RR, the 3" like you "think" they are, why is there a difference in 25rwtq between the RR and UR? (as per there websites) this is the info i am trying to find out!

1. answer .. they are not 3 " inches like free flow . they are 3 inches to 2.5 to stock flange.

2. answer. they are the same for both coupe and sedan
3 answer it is direct replacement with bolt to the factory turbo and factory trubo back exhaust. . You might need o2 simulator if you have update emmission software your car.

4 you can get it from terry335 for 100 dollars.

The UR downpipes are great and the Riss will be too when they are out. It's too early to compare the dynos, everything is all over the place. Plus downpipes can lead to boost spikes which make it even harder to analyze.

u can PM riss racing directly if u have any questions but:

1/ our riss dp group buy will be finished within a week i think...i am in !!
2/ i believe that UR dps have many more welds. riss is all mandrel bent stainless steel.
3/ free thremal coating is avial (if u do not mind painting over the beautiful Riss stainless steel dps).
4/ fitment should not be a problem for any 335. riss dps bolt right into stock exhaust.
5/ search for the riss sound clips (there are 4 different sound clips, each with different scenario), the dp exhaust note is GREAT!
6/ check out the group buy thread for riss dps, alot of info there.

good luck, and join our GB if u want, but do it soon or u will have to wait for the second production run.

Haha you just want someone else to order it so you can get yours sooner.

If I were waiting for them I would be doing the same thing.

If you keep it too big for too long and just quickly taper it to 2.5 you will create a bottleneck. Bigger isn't always better. DP's in the end are DPs you aren't gonna see a huge fluctuation between numbers, if it is catless that is. HFC is a different story depending on the cat itself.

1.Downpipes are 3 inch for more than 70% of the pipe. Then at 30% tapers to 2.75, then to a 2.5 inch flange.

2.Sedans, coupes, and verts all fit the same specs. The XI and I might be the difference but some have made them fit.

3.Direct replacement. You can unbolt or bolt on your stock downpipes whenever you need to. No fabricating at all.

Adam, we're still only half way through. Are you still getting these things made next week as originally expected? It appears a lot of people are gun shy and waiting to see the physical product before jumping on board.
