I suppose it depends on the driver because I romped on one and thought I just smoked an Acura 1.6EL

After I shutdown in 3rd gear, ricer-flyby ensued - followed by the turn off into some random residential street.

How I know this? I made U-turn about 500 yards after that street and saw him pull out to continue going the same direction I was going originally with him haha

seriously dude i hate how people think of E46 M3s as big deals. this is coming from someone who has been through 2 E46 M3s (6 speed and SMG). stock wise the M3 seemed faster (the two we owned at least) but it takes 1 mod (procede, or any other piggyback, tune for that matter) to beat an M3

lets wait til the E92 M3 at least and even though we most likely will be able to beat them in the future, they are still great cars. why make competition with the same car company? lets go out there and fight audi or something

e46 M3's are a great car and great platform for mods. Stock they handle amazing, are fast, and look great. I personally enjoy the looks of a tastefully modded e46 better than the e92.....but then again I havent seen many modded e92 M3's yet.

regardless, the e46 is a classic much in the same way the e30 and e36 are.

The sad thing is, if the OP would have said Procede, everyone would have been down on their knees.

So true!!!!
At least with Dinan you know you have a warranty, your car wont go limp, and you dont have to worry about what brand of gas you use! Sure its a bit more expensive, but you get performance and peace of mind.

I don't know what you have been smoking.. But if you think e46 M3s are a good platform for modding.. I would like to get some too. Cause I don't think I have ever been that high.

9k+ for Supercharger (used to be 15k)
15k+ for Turbo
2k+ for exhaust(that gives you 5 WHP)
1500+ for Intake (that gives you 2-3 Whp)
1k for Flash (that gives you 8-10 whp)

Haven't even factored in Labor... That car is a joke to mod. If I had an M3 i would get gears and call it a day since that is the only thing that I have ever seen that affects the car drastically.

If we are talking about costmetic mods. Yeah it is a gorgeous car that when properly modded can be even more beautiful. But performance wise.. it is a lame duck.

What makes you think you don't have to worry about what brand of gas you use? Throw some 87 in your tank and see how much your dinan tune loves it.. Bad gas is bad gas no matter what tune you have. Vishnu doesn't have a deal with V-Power. It just has been proven to be one of the better types of gas around.

you have a warranty with ANY piggyback you buy. Dinan just matches the BMW warranty with their own. A while back on one of the other forums (cant recall at the moment) there was a huge problem with a fully Dinan car and they refused to pay anything on it to fix even though it did in fact have their warranty.

When it comes down to it, Dinan is nothing but and overpriced "name brand" product. /story

Plus, getting the Dinan flash is a COMPLETE waste of money for anyone leasing or with any intention of selling their 335 at any time...$2000 and you cant even resell it
