Fixing Severe Stone Damage Help!!!
Today I was driving on the highway in the fast lane in my M4 (Freshly Xpel'd hood and front bumper) when out of no where a bozo in a truck in the slow lane starts shooting hundreds of large two inch stones all over the highway he overloaded in his bed. The stones make it into the fast lane and obliterate my hood, headlights and windshield. I wasnt able to get this POS's license plate because I wouldnt risk a second more behind him to get it, so I floored it past him and went home to discover all this damage. I have to get the hood and front bumper re Xpel'd but my number one concern is the 2K optioned LED headlights that were not Xpel'd. As you can see there are two huge gashes out of the lenses, is there anyway to repair these headlights without having to buy new ones? Any idea how much a new headlight is or is it possible to replace the lens? Also can Safelight make the window gashes not visible or do I have to replace the windshield also?

That blows - Too bad that thoughtless truck driver won't have to pay the cost to fix.

I am sorry to hear that.
Somehow I got rock that hit side quarter panel and made big paint chip. I tried to fix it myself (touch up), but didn't come out right. I am taking it to reputable body shop to spot paint the area and clear coat entire quarter panel area to fix. |

Ouch, I would've never let someone get away with that. I'd be so upset. You shouldn't have to pay for someone else's stupidity.

I had a similar experience but at a smaller scale, and I have to say the heart break is worse than breaking up with my ex. A 750i in front of me shot a chestnut sized rock which made a 4 inches in diameter crack on my windshield. Safelite patched it up but it's not perfect, it still has a little pebble sized dent on it and some hardly noticeable webbing around it. Cannot justify changing out the whole window when its still fully functional, so life goes on and now my car has a little bit more character to it.

The pics are not loading for me, so I can't judge how bad the damages are to your car. For the window cracks, Safelite mentioned that anything within 5 inches in diameter is within the scope of repair. As for your headlights, maybe you could take it to one of those headlights restoration guys see if they could provide you with some ideas. If not, try looking buying just the headlight housing. I can't see the pics but I'm guessing the damage only affected the housing.

Why aren't you buying a new one from BMW? Same with the windshield. Insurance should cover the damage.
