Care for Carbon Fiber Roof

Just curious besides waxing what other special precautions are needed to care for the carbon fiber roof to reduce fading etc.?

Its got a clear coat on it just like the rest of the car. On my e92 i treated it like any other body panel. Even as far as polishing it like normal.

I've been using a paint sealer and wax with UV protectant.

Keep it clean. Keep it protected(wax, sealant, coating, ect.). If it get swirled up, it can be corrected. You can also have clear bra installed over it.

I thought about this a bit, especially given Porsche's history of their CF yellowing.

Seems like E92 owners have had no problems with the CF roof. Best I can tell, just need to make sure the clear doesn't wear out, and polish at lower speeds/temps if you do polish it. They don't really seem to make PPF with real UV protection. I think a coating/sealant would be a good idea, especially something with UV protection. Also, parking in a garage all the time helps

How about 3M paint protective film!
Stone chips can crack the clear coat and no repair.

It's a painted surface just like any other modern painted surface with clearcoat. Care accordingly.

Roofs are not usually a "pop" area, so I'd recommend a really durable sealant.

Though not exactly the most durable, I just applied Sonax PolyNetShield to mine. Super easy on, super easy off, pretty good total protection for several months.
