ECU chip

Well I've been driving a 335i for about a month and a half now and Ive been looking at upgrades for my car. I heard that there was a ECU chip that added a +100hp. Some say that it's like a virus to your car, that takes out five years to your car but others say its nothing and it's a good product. Does anyone have any inputs??

I'll save you from getting seriously flamed; just do a search for "PROcede v2," "XEDE," "JB2," "SSTT," and "Dinan." Enjoy your hours and hours of reading!

Your best choice to to go with Dinan for the chip, 84 extra HP it's pretty close to the new M3 performance.

yeah i believe it's around that price. but the people who support the dinan flash are those that want a peace of mind of having the same warranty as what bmw offers whereas others might be paranoid about the other piggyback systems available. I myself is considering the SSTT even though it gives less power than the Procede. The simple plug and play install was the selling point for me.
