Need some help please - how to remove excess leather conditioner?

As the title states... I have applied "Leather Only," available at BMW locally, to my G35, leather sofa, and 335i - for some reason, there was some white residue in the creases of the leather left behind on my drivers seat. I tried to remove it by wiping down the seat several weeks later with a wet towel only to find that I now have this white residue all over my seat! Large spots can be scratched off with my finger nail which makes me believe it's excess leather cleaner.

Any ideas? At this point its only getting worse with water and Zymol leather cleaner - I'm worried I'll never get it all off.

Use the original product again, usually that is the recommendation even from the manufacturer.

Sometime too much of a good thing can be harmful. Other then that I really don't know what else to say. Maybe over time the white residue will dried up and over the course of the leather flexing/moving, the white thingy will pop out of those tiny creases.

Here is my technique for cleaning leather, I use meguiar leather cleaner/conditioner. I have two clean dry white towel, on one towel, I squeezed the leather solution on, wipe it on the leather surface and work it in really good, then I take the other clean towel and wipe of any access. But as you notice, do not over do the cleaning solution. I only treat my leather once a year (usually during the winter so I do not have to deal with the heat and sweating as I clean the leather-it is a tedious process).

In the end, you can really see how dirty my seats were by looking at the once white towel which turns into a shade of vanila .

I am no expert at leather treatment/conditioning but that has always worked great for me and my interior smells great afterward. Oh yeah , it helps to get black leather .

Thanks for the responses - I tried the leather cleaner again and it did the job for the most part. I appreciate it.
