PROcede harness connectors compilation

Hi guys,

Sometimes you will need additional PROcede connectors / wires. I have compiled a short overview. Thanks to Orb and Terry for their support.

The connectors on the PROcede side are from Deutsch ( deutschconnector.com ). They can be crimped or soldered.

Socket DTMBKS 460-201-20141
Pin DTMSKS 460-202-20141

Here you can buy connector plugs as well ( bypass plugs, etc. )

The connectors on the ECU side are from BMW

61-13-0-005-201 Socket 0.2 – 0.5 mm2 ( a 0.5 mm2 wire is already crimped to the connector )
61-13-0-005-198 Pin 0.2 – 0.5 mm2 ( a 0.5 mm2 wire is already crimped to the connector )

The connectors for the new V2 switched power connection are from BMW

61-13-8-364-834 Socket ELO-Power 2.8 x 0.63 ( 1.5 – 2.5 mm2 )
61-13-8-364-833 Pin ELO-Power 2.8 x 0.63 ( 0.5 – 1.0 mm2 )
61-13-8-364-835 Pin ELO-Power 2.8 x 0.63 ( 1.0 – 2.5 mm2 )

Next month: V2 harness DIY ( joke )

Can we use bypass plugs with V2 speed input connected? Do we need extra wires for the bypass plugs to work?

Yes, you can. You need 1 extra wire for the bypass plugs.

- 2 x Deutsch pin DTMSKS 460-202-20141
- Short piece of 0.5 mm2 wire

Price will be < US$3 plus shipping.

I'm just curious, but can you get these through cablestogo.com?

I get marketing crap from them all the time because I order cat5 in bulk from them, but I thought I saw the male pins that the procede uses. I'll have to see if I can find the catalog.

Eugen , This is great. Thanks! Could we make it even better by saying which color wires each are and maybe the gauge of the wire they are connected to?

For example, for the ECU orange power wire, which male connector of the 3 listed above is the right one?

Also, for the proceed harness there is a connector for power wires. The black wire, and two red wires all go into one big female connector (that the orange power wire from the ecu connects to). What is that connector part?

I am very confused as to what you have listed and what parts they actually are, and I don't want to order the wrong things. Maybe using the install pictures and putting the part numbers with arrows on the pictures would be good. I would do it if I knew which ones were for each wire, but I don't.

I need:

1) The male end connector for the orange power wire on the ECU side.
2) The female connector that is on the proceed harness that the orange wire goes into.

In the install pictures the harness shown does not look like the one shipped to me. On mine the procede power wires are two red wires and one black wire that all run into a big female connector. (that female connector snapped off)

Scott

Scott

did anyone ever figure this out? i need this too

i think all i need to do is tap the two red wires into the orange but i really dont want to cut or tap any wires... i would much rather take the pins out and do it the way the instructions are originally

actually i can see now that the two "pins" are different because one is simply longer than the other

i will have to go try to buy some at the dealership or something
