AA Xede in 335i - case histories please

Would folks who have the AA Xede pperformance-software package installed in their 335i please post their stories.

Questions:
  • Overall impression?
  • Affect on performance?
  • Dynos?
  • Affect on oil temps?
  • AA blowout valve installed? Needed? Anyone without BO valve having any problems?
  • Install the Xede box yourself? Difficulties?
  • Anyone reverse the installation & remove Xede? Difficulties?
Thanks.

Did. Had I found recent, current info (as your post), would have relied on it...

Thanks for the post.

* Great smooth power delivery with NO CEL
* Great performance
* No dyno yet
* My oil temps actually got lower with AA and never went over 240
* No BOV, didn't feel it is necessary
* Can be easily installed as any other piggyback
* Removed it just recently myself in like 30 minutes

The power delivery is very smooth. I have the xede, bov, and exhaust from AA and RU catted coated dps. Sounds great..but getting a little tired of the bov. I think i would be happier with it if when driving hard the bov let go during hard shifts. Sounds muffled squirty and stupid. Ordered the forged divereters to take the bov place. Have a defi boost gauge installed and have seen poost peaks as high as 17 psi. Usually though it consistently hits 14 psi. Cant see how v2 will be much better. Hopefully ill get a custom tune from xede for dps. No dyno yet...looking for an awd one on long island. Beat and smg m3 last night though....lata

Overall impression? Not bad
Affect on performance? Noticeable but clearly not enough...
Dynos? Not yet
Affect on oil temps? sometimes
AA blowout valve installed? Needed? Anyone without BO valve having any problems? i took my car to vegas a few days ago, on the way there there were no limp modes, BUT, one time my car started shaking when i pressed gas, pulled over, turned it off and back on, it went away... any1 have any idea what happened there?
Install the Xede box yourself? Difficulties? Had help, took a few hours the first time, im sure it'll b quicker next time, we were very carefull...
Anyone reverse the installation & remove Xede? Difficulties? not yet...

  • Love it
  • Much noticeable power
  • 325rwhp 360rwtq
  • None
  • No
  • Rennart did the install
  • Never removed it yet

I personally wouldnt want any more power than this unless I had an LSD. I already have traction issues as it is.

Here is our personal experience with our 335i:

* No limp modes, smooth USABLE power, rock solid performance. VERY linear.
* Very noticeable. Feels like every gear is now one lower than it really is.
* No dyno as of yet; been too tied up to dyno it.
* No affect on oil temps whatsoever. Even in 90 degree humid Miami weather.
* No AA BOV.
* Install was done at AA.
* Haven't had to remove it so far.

Hope this helps!

We are an authorized Master AA dealer so please let us know if you have any product questions, comments, or want to place an order!
