Paint protection film on leased car
Does anyone know if BMW requires paint protection film to be removed before returning a leased car? I'm thinking of getting it on my new leased M3. I understand that some thing this is a waste of money, but to me, I'd like to enjoy a clean car for the time that I have it. However, I don't want to spend even more money at the end of the lease to remove the film.

I'm sure they'd love it if you left it on as a great selling feature. Even if you removed it they'd get a flawless font end regardless upon lease return. So either way winning for them. And no I don't think they require removal. Ask them.

I don't think they have you remove it since my finance guy sold it to me. I didn't do the whole front, just the hood and mirrors for $350. Probably will be a waste of money, but if I do decide to buy the car it will be worth it.
Plus, as others here, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to detailing so leasing or not, it might help my sanity. That is worth $350 to me. Last edited by minn19; 11-23-2014 at 05:45 PM.. |

I have one because I'm still paying to drive a nice car and want to keep it nice.
I also wash my leased car.... There is always the possibility if it's a trouble free car I might buy it at the end. I like the option of returning the car at the end of the lease if it is a nightmare. |
