Standard F8X brakes vs. M-sport/Performance brakes

I have tried to find a thread noting the differences between the standard "blue" brakes on the F8X and the 3/4 series M-sport/performance brakes but I haven't been able to find anything of much use.

Are the size of the brakes and discs the same for all 4 wheels and are they of the same quality? The brakes also seem to be positioned on a different area for each car, too, not sure why though.

M-Sport (435)

F8X standard brake

As i know The M brakes are slightly bigger than The m Performance breaks (Front), The rear are more different. So, you cant replace them for another color like red :-)

Edit
Original M3/4:
Front 380x30mm 4C
Rear 370x24mm 2C

M Performance:
Front 370x30mm 4C
Rear 345x24mm 2C

Original M3/4 Carbon:
Front 400x38mm 6C
Rear 380x28mm 4C

Original 435:
Front 340x30mm 4C

Same front calipers, different pads, different rotors compared to F3X (3.5, not 2.8). Rear calipers are same as used on M235i, again pads and rotors being different. F8X being superior overall compared to all others.

I'm sure others have mentioned this but to me the standard M rotor is one of the sexiest and least mentioned parts of this car. The stock rotors are works of art. You have to see them in person or in a really good picture to appreciate...it's not about the rotor surface, it's the hub and the arms connecting the hub to the rotor surface.

I have been enjoying your edits.. haha. It's nice to have these all in one place for comparison purposes.

I didn't notice at first but upon closer inspection I came to the same conclusion. The way the rotor surface mounts to the hub center is pretty cool. I love how cool these brakes look from the get go. As long as they hold up or my driving skill I won't feel any need to spend money on them.
