Traction/stability control settings

Hi. Not quite sure how much freedom the traction/stability control system (DTC and DSC?) on my 2006 330i gives. Basically even when I leave everything default / no buttons pressed, the car is happy to kick the tail out and squeal tires via power oversteer. Which is great, but I'm wondering:
1. In default mode, how sideways will the systems allow the car to get before reining it back in? With enough prodding, can I do a 180 spin with all the systems enabled?
2. What does pressing the DTC button once add? What about holding it for 3 seconds?

And for those that track your cars, what mode do you have it in?

Garage List
There are threads out there man. But anyways it was about 12:15 AM last night, roads were a little wet from a light rain, I was making a left onto a 4 lane road. Nobody was in sight so I held the DTC button for proabbly 10 seconds to my knowledge disengages it completely, I put it in steptronic and floored it. My 330xi's tail completely slid out. Nothin like some good fun
