Brake coloring?

I've seen different colors on brakes for various M4 / M4 Convertibles, is this a selectable option when ordering?

I've seem mostly blue brakes but some yellow.

I'm ordering sapphire black, black interior, 19" black wheels.

What do others have?

Blue calipers come with standard steel brakes which are great...ceramics come with yellow calipers which is an 8000 dollar upgrade...not worth it in my opinion if you use the car for DD and hit the track once a year.

If anything but blue or gold, they were painted after the fact (i.e., not a BMW option).

Not entirely true, I have red calipers that I purchased from the dealer, they also come in yellow and orange.

Maybe from dealer...but from BMWAG, the 2015 F8x models come with only blue or gold tone calipers (ceramics). Either way, they can be painted after the fact by your local shop.

Those are the MPerformance brakes.

when ordering the car "new" there is only 2 options. Blue (std steel) or gold Ceramics brakes which are a upcharge.

I can't imagine getting ceramics on the vert. Has anyone seen one ordered that way?

I ordered my convertible without the ceramics. So it sounds like i should be expecting the blue.
