I check my weather report daily myself as well, funny you mention that! Glad to hear I'm not the only crazy out there.

Better to leave that dirt and grime on until you have time to wash it properly at home. I see too many people cave in and take it to one of those assembly line so called "hand wash" places who just grind that dirt and much into your paint.

I was once meeting with some lawyers from Arizona up in Calgary in February. We had to walk through this underground parking garage to get to a storage room to look for some records there. Classic early spring day in Calgary (had snowed, city salted, was a little over zero so super melty, every vehicle covered in thick, gross, brown salt/mud/muck mixture, now dried)

This lawyer from Arizona, born and raised there, says without trying for a moment to be funny or ironic: "Wow, these vehicles must have all been down here for a really long time - look at all the dust on them!"

....which is another way of me saying a good number of the people on this forum have no idea what you are talking about.....

I keep checking the weekend weather here in NY. A few days ago it was going to be in the 40's, perfect for a quick wash. Now, 30's.

Still might wash it. BSM you know.

Hope so, I'm not planning to run mine through any automatic car wash if I can avoid it. The temperature here is supposed to hit 40*F on Sunday, I may try for a quick wash then. It's been a few weeks. Fortunately Sakhir Orange hides dirt better than my Jet Black E92 did.

My M3 would look good if everyone on this thread took a dump on it.

In my garage, all I'm saying is that the SSII color always looks good. So dump away.

Took a risk yesterday and washed my car, despite a day full of overcast and chance of rain. Made it to today and its 75 and sunny! Woooo.

SS not showing dirt is a given, SO has been a big surprise to me on how well it does this trick also, the light gray 19"s too.
