Question 328i bang from rear end

Hi everyone new to the forum hear I recently purchased an 08 red 328i for 6 grand the thing is it has a 147k and when I put the car in reverse and back up a little the rear makes a bang noise like I've gone over a pot hole but if I back up slowly and use the brake its not noticable could any of you give a suggestion on what it could be thanks in advance and happy new year!!

Depending on how / the exact timing of it but I'd look at the rear differential mount. Also sometimes brake pads can move a bit in their mounts when going from fwd to backward... But again really hard to say without seeing/ hearing it.

Bang or clunk ? A clunk is the pads moving in the calipers, it's normal.
