Long Beach blue is not blue at all

Saw it today on the X6M at the San Diego auto show and the color is pure Aqua / turquoise. It's not blue at all, and very disappointing to be honest. It's very feminine and even worse than YMB.

That's about right. It reminds me of a mix between Estoril and Atlantis Blue.

Personally, I think it looks way better than YMB. It's gorgeous and it changes so much depending on the lighting. I for one will definitely consider it. Right now, I think my first choice is Austin Yellow. If for some reason (unlikely) cloth seats aren't available but a cinnamon or saddle leather seats are, then LBB will for sure be my choice. I've seen the new X5M in LBB on Aragon interior and it was mind blowing

From that pic that color looks amazing. And YMB too is a nice color. Well at least IMO.

Nope not for me! It's probably about last on my list anyways.

I'd say first is Donnington or SilverstoneII followed by Austin yellow or YMB.

Donnington for me. It's going to look so sinister.

I once went black, hated every single day of it until I sold it.

Constantly dirty, if it wasn't dirty it was dusty, so you give it a quick wash, then you have water spots and streaks, so you dry it off, then you get swirl marks and streaks..5 minutes later it's dusty again.

Just an utter bloody nightmare!!

I agree that my silver truck is easier to keep looking clean without constantly working on it. Although, I've had 5 black cars now and they look so good when they are clean!

Have you seen the water at long beach? Lol I can assure you it's not anywhere near turquoise.

Plus M colors are named after famous races (long beach Grand Prix in this case)

You guys are missing the point, this color is too soft and feminine. It's a nice color for water at an exotic location but not for an M car

My point is that in real life it looks like my picture and nothing like your picture.

So it's all turquoise and zero blue.

I do not want to drive a turquoise car.

Good for you. But again, you've seen the car under 1 light condition, while I've seen it in many. Yes the car can look like the picture you took, which ironically I really like. But I've also seen the car in other conditions (usually overcast) that looks like my pic.

So my point? It's NOT all turquoise and zero blue. It's very similar to Sakhir Orange in that regard. Depending on the lighting, SO is everything from neon orange to almost red

I highly doubt anything could be worse than YMB. It's hideous.

Just to be clear, where did see you this color in many different lighting conditions? The X6M are X4M are not in showrooms yet, are they?

If this is the case, I will be really dissapointed. I don't mind if the car has more of a turquoise hue in certain lights, but I was hoping it to be a really bright blue like estoril blue. Why does BMW insist on creating these unusual blue colors?! Sure a few people will really love them, but they are very polarizing and many people will really dislike them too, like YMB. Now I'm thinking I will have to get my M2 in something boring like gray or white.

Am I the only person that doesn't make his car choice based on color? If there's a car on the lot that I'm looking for I'm getting it so long as the color isn't full-on fluorescent
