Ordered all my mods !!!

Waiting on a Glacier Silver M235i (pre-production)

There's not much else to do while waiting on the car, so I thought I'd get the mods/accessories ! Found decent prices ... mostly OEM parts, only one aftermarket part.

Interior:
- OEM stainless steel pedal covers

Exterior:
- OEM black kidney grilles
- OEM front splitters and lip spoiler
- OEM M Performance rocker panel side decals
- OEM M Performance side stripes (just below door handles, complement the bottom decals well)
- OEM Carbon Fiber rear deck spoiler
- Aftermarket Carbon Fiber mirror covers (just couldn't put down $600 for mirror covers)

I also plan to get the rims painted glossy black.

Excellent mods! I've got the rocker panel and accent stripe decals too. They totally transform the car. Having my wheels painted gloss black was the best thing I could have done to the car too. It's perfection.

Just got it for two days now and I'm overwhelmed how amazing it is.

Awesome, thanks for sharing !

Couple of questions:

1 - How did you paint the wheels ? Plasti Dip ? Powder coating ? Autozone auto paint ?
2 - Did you DIY or get it done professionally ?

Hey, thanks for the offer, but I actually don't plan on any engine tuning.

The dealer had it professionally painted at a wheel repair shop before I collected the car. I think you should too. They do wheel balancing after painting as well. I think painting and powder coating are the best options.

Please don't do plasti dipping. I hate that stuff so much. It has a horribly grainy finish and looks bad even professionally done. Bad experience here...

I'll post a picture later to show how awesome it looks!

I had a completely different experience. I plastidipped my wheels and they came out amazing and have kept up for around 6k miles now. I keep them clean and spray this gloss finish I have and it gives the wheels a nice satin look. I'll post pictures soon when I get home I'm on my phone right now.

UPDATE:
Here are some pictures of my car with the plastidipped wheels. Sorry for the bad quality they were all taken with my phone.

I see that you also changed the emblems/badges (and painted the calipers silver). Looks great ! Can you point me to the replacement emblem product - which site/seller ? Thanks ! I'm considering doing the same

Your car looks great and so does the wheels. I just wouldn't get the finish I wanted, so I avoided it completely.

You can get the carbon fiber stickers I used from here http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-20...ing-wheel.aspx

Actually, the calipers look like that stock. I haven't painted them.

Got my sport pedals today. Good price, great packaging, fast shipping.

However, is my brake pedal cover missing a rubber insert that's supposed to stick out of the three cutouts in the pedal cover ?

Got em from here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Please help ! Thanks !

I have the pedal covers as well and there definitely is a rubber insert that's supposed to be on the brake pedal. Try contacting Amazon.

Thanks, yeah, I did contact Amazon and the seller got back to me saying they will ship it "as soon as they can". Will see how well they resolve it.

Hey inlinesixtwinscroll saw you posting about the front splitter.

I really want to know whether it came with both... and was there an option to choose the colour?

Hey, yes, I will be sure to let you know what the package contains. I will also post pics. There was no option to choose the color, but I know that you can get them painted. From what I know, you have to email them separately to let them know you want it painted and which color.

The website said something like "payment for painting is separate".

Anyway, I got mine without paint (I didn't want them painted).

Will keep you posted.
