Hey, guys, I'm planning to clean my valves at some point soon. I wanted to see if someone has the tool and the wand to borrow/rent instead of me buying it to sit on the shelf then and possibly never been used again. Sorry I don't have the kit, but I know Bavauto rents out their kit for $100 fee + $100 core.

yea i wouldn't go with that piece of junk lol, my buddies have the OEM BMW blaster and all of the parts, since it cost them $1400 theres no way they're renting it out but honestly why would you want to cheap out on the most important part of your car, sticking something with unregulated amounts of pressure into your intake manifold and cylinder head...sounds like trouble to me. Just give my buddies a call, they're running a special if you say i recommended you, $350 and its done in 4 hours

So you're saying this because you've actually used the kit Bavarian sells, and it's junk? Or, because you're trying to get some respect points with your friend? Unregulated amounts of air into the cylinder head? You're spraying walnut shells at closed valves, and sucking them out with a shop-vac, you'd have to have some serious PSI to damage something unless the valves weren't closed.

I'm sure Bavarian knows what they're doing. They wouldn't risk lending someone a tool that doesn't do the job.

Never said they didn't but there's a reason BMW had a tool specifically made to do the job. I'm sure they know what they're doing but I'm also sure it's "operate and perform at your own risk" just tryna be helpful. not like I get any money out of sending someone there I just recommend them because they did an awesome job on my car and they're honest guys with master ASE's and have worked on dozens of these cars as well as Mini's. The one kid knows the engine and whole car inside out, the stuff he was talking about I just had to shake my head and say mhhmm just so I didn't look completely clueless.
