I checked Carbotech's site and it doesn't show anything for the 2 series yet.

Are the m-sport brakes on the 235 shared with any other BMW model, or are they something unique that we'll have to wait for manufacturers to accommodate?

Trying to figure out if its a matter of waiting for them to make something new, or finding the right cross-reference with an existing car.

They make them, just don't have them listed.

The backing plate numbers are D1609 front and D1656 rear.

I emailed Danny earlier this month and he confirmed they do have those patterns.

BMW F30 335i w/M Sport Package Calipers F: CT1609 & R: CT1656 with whichever compound will fit M235i just fine.

Thanks guys! Exactly the information I was looking for. These will be one of the first things put on the new car.

I love that this car has the brembo-style calipers on all 4 wheels. Will make changing the bobcats out for XP8/XP10 sooooo easy on track days.

I'm still making my way through the Carbotech website...can anyone tell me if they make a true low dust pad? And how does it compare to any other low dust brand? I see Centric Posi-Quiets are available, for instance.

I am not familiar with the Centric, but the 1521 Bobcat from Carbotech is what I use on my daily driver. It produces very little dust, and what it produces is a fine grey powder that cleans off easily.

From the Carbotech site:

I purchased the set for my daily driver through a MINI specific shop that is not around any more (50k miles on current set). You can see all of Carbotech's dealers here. I plan on making my next purchase from one close enough I can just go pick them up and avoid shipping. Any excuse to take a drive, right?

For the wear sensors, they actually snap into the brake pad and can be transferred between pads, but be careful, they can get brittle. Once they break or get warn down enough to trigger the warning, you have to replace them.

You can always leave the brake sensor disconnected and just zip tie it up and out of sight. As long as you keep an eye on your pad wear, it will save you some time, money, and headache of replacing them. I also think that there is a coding option to disable the brake pad sensor as well, but maybe someone more knowledgable can chime in on that.

Thanks. Yes, I have tied up the sensors on my Porsche's and will likely do the same on the BMW when I settle on a low dust pad.

My Carbotech 1521s came today, but my new M235i is still in Baltimore...

When the car gets here next week I'll report back with install pics and feedback on braking. I've got high expectations based on my experience with 1521s on other cars.

Carbotech has dealers around the world. I recommend finding one close to you to avoid shipping charges and get questions answered in person.

Well I have searched through a bunch of the vendors listed and they don't have brakes listed for my M235i. The websites just might not be up to date. That's why I asked where you bought yours. I don't mind paying for shipping, I am in PA and there are no dealers here. I can keep trying or can you just tell me where you bought yours? Thanks.

The Posi-Quiets although low dust it is also lower friction levels than OE.

Their Street Performance Compound not only outperforms OEM pad, but has slightly lower dust. It's a type of dust that is unlike the OE sticky stuff so easily wipe or wash off. I recommend those pads over the Posi-Quiets.
