Money2536's Currently Used Detailing Products

After posting my video on YouTube, I've ordered a bunch of new stuff to try after getting a bunch of suggestions. I thought you guys might care to see this one. Sorry for being so dry and boring.

Hey have you tried Zaino products? Sorry if you mention in your video; don't have time to watch it yet, but meant to mention it to you the other day. They have great border free towels: http://www.zainostore.com/product/Z-BBFT-3.html

Have you heard anything or had any experience with Polishangel Glasscoat? Seems it's a boutique German company that makes a sealant as durable (or more so) than Opticoat and with a gloss similar to cQuartz Finest. They also require a paint code so they send you their product matched to the cars paint color.

I heard of it, but I haven't used any of their stuff. Personally, I don't like coatings. I still prefer wax.

I agree wax is better for gloss and shine. Protection is great as well if applied regularly. I just know I won't apply wax enough for the annual "northeast destroy a car's paint" winter.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Money, your the man!! I just started getting into detailing (for personal use), and this was definitely a great help. I enjoyed watching the whole video, (damn Villanova busted my bracket). I haven't got into the polishing process yet, mostly because I haven't done it before and I'm afraid to ruin something. Any advice on a polisher or techniques to use? By the way, have you tried the Microfiber madness towels? They're expensive but definitely the best MF I have seen.

If you are will to spend the cash, I'd get the Rupes LHR15. If not, I prefer the Griot's over the Porter Cable. If you get really bored, I have like fifty videos on my YouTube channel showing all kinds of boring crap having to do with polishing.

I do have some Microfiber Madness towels. I'm still unsure about them. I just got them two weeks ago, so I'm still forming my opinion.

Yea I hate it too but I have my F80 delivery on the 20th and I'll have her home on the 22nd so I really want to give her a nice detail inside and out. Would love to see how you do the inside before then as I will be using some of your techniques on the outside

Thanks. Ill definitely be giving those videos a look. I only got the towels 2 weeks ago as well and used them about 4 times. I really like them, but theyre the first real HQ towels ive bought. What towels do you prefer that you have used in the past?

I'm on a current towel crusade. I'm unsure about the MF Madness stuff. I've used them a few times and some of them are leaving lint. I need to keep playing with them before I lay down serious cash on them. I also bought 20 CarPro BOA towels to test out.

I still really like these. I may end up going back to them.

I'm going to do a video this weekend. I'm hoping we can all share ideas in the comments, so I can come up with an update arsenal of towels. Every few years, I feel the need to revamp my towels.

Im new to the whole detailing thing and would like to start to learn how to polish soon. Seems to me like you know what youre doing so im just going to copy the products you use.

I bought madness incredimitt, cloudbuster, crazy pile, and dry me crazy.
incredimitt - I like this mitt, although I'm only on my second mitt ever.
cloudbuster - I really like this towel it works well and leaves no streaks or lint
crazy pile - I liked it, but the fabric feels weird to me
dry my crazy - wasn't happy with these at all, esp for $13 it would take me 3 or 4 of these to dry my whole car

Question for you Matt. What do you recommend for a hand wax (not a spray on)My car is AW. I know you like Griot's garage spray on but it makes me feel better if I apply it and then take it off.

+1 Zaino.... been using most of their products for years and have been very happy with them. (Z2, Z6, Z9&10 are some of my favs)

In the end, each manufacturer has one or two products that really works. It is about finding the best thing each of them have to offer.

See you're in Seattle! I grew up in Puyallup (no jokes, please). Have you been to the Griot HQ in Tacoma? Haven't been myself, but supposed to be legit there.

No Jokes

Yes, been there many times. It is a cool place and they got some nice products but their interior cleaner is pretty much the only thing I like.

They do host some amazing car shows though.
