I received my trim package from Sun motors today and only took about 30 minutes to install. Just an FYI when removing the stock pieces: the center console and door pulls have a tab or way to come out cleanly. The door pulls have a tab on the bottoms facing upward. The center console has a tab at the very front facing forward. So when pulling these pieces off it's best to start at the top on the door pull then loosen the bottom of the door pull and then slide it down and off. On the center console, Open your center console lid then gently pry up the center console from the back working your way towards the front and then slide it towards the back to release the tab. There are three torques screws holding in the I drive controller. Be careful not to pull out the wires while turning the center console upside down and removing and saving the three torques screws. The right and left side dash inserts at the vents pulll straight out very easily. With them will come louver and dampening system. Those lock in at the bottom and then snap in at the top so you're going to want to release the top and rock it back pivoting off the bottom. Installation, is just the opposite start at the bottom and then snap in the top.
I was nearly sure that the parts page mentioned it was a seven piece system which I could never figure out but it is five pieces and I'll look back in at the catalog online to see if I'm mistaken.

The base MP kit is only 5 pieces. The transmission cover (8AT or 6MT) and the e-brake are sold separately.

Congrats on the purchase and install. Just did mine a week or so ago and love the way it looks.

Thx hoppy. I did look online and it does state a seven piece set. But everyone I've spoke to is of the same opinion that it's only five pieces. It does look great and I'm totally stoked on my new M235ix. I tried posting pictures of every piece as I was installing them showing the little tabs but for some reason they did not upload.

Through BMW USA? I wonder if they inadvertently just added the full kit together. That would be 7 pieces, although I think the shifter has a few parts to it, so maybe more :P

BMW web QA/QC has been crap lately :P

Just had this installed in my car too. Looks so perfect with the red leather, much better than any of the stock options.

Also got mine from Brian @ Sun Motors, great experience and best price by far.

Looks Awesome! It's a mod I am hoping to do as well, just a little shy about pulling off the wood trim to make the switch. I purchased my M235 at Sun and Brian in parts is fantastic to work with, absolutely great deals too!

(from BMW USA CS) "This kit replaces the existing door handle pulls and dashboard insert trim with open-pore carbon fiber and Alcantara. For more detailed information regarding these parts, we suggest reaching out to the parts team at your authorized BMW center."

Sorry just saw your question/reply. The above was their response to my inquiry. I received 5 pieces and it definitely says 7-piece set on their website. I have since re-emailed them specifically asking for an answer to the question. I'm not worried, if it's 5 pieces so be it, and I'm pretty sure it is. I like the upgrade mod but if there's two more pieces in the set I'll take em. I'm new to BMW, and my M235ix is a month old so my experience with BMW USA and the vehicle is VERY limited. So far, I love the car and really dig the enthusiasm shared with other owners, drivers, my dealership and all those surrounding this community.
