M235i Racing - Camber Adjustment

Does anyone know what parts were installed on the M235i Racing to allow for camber adjustment?

They use a KW coilover with a camber plate.....it's very similar to a KW Clubsport but uses an inverted strut....if I remember correctly. I saw the kit at SEMA last year at the KW booth.

Nice, thanks! Do you know if they were advertising this setup for use on the m235i?

not sure that's correct, see PDF in the link below. Makes mention of KW damper c/w H&R spring only. No mention of adjustable top plates........

This is simply a marketing piece, not a "spec sheet". I can assure you that they are using a KW Clubsport style coilover including a camber plate. I thought I had photos of one of the front struts that they had on display at SEMA, but can't find it.

I remember it well because my 228 was on order and due for delivery when I got home. I knew there was no factory camber adjustment in the front and was excited to see this. The kit used on the M235i Racing is not available to the public unfortunately.

The M235i racing is most likely on KW's 2-way competition damper

Look at GSR's 228i World Challenge "build" thread (or whatever you want to call it).....they have the M235i Racing kit.

I just came across that thread today myself, very cool, thank you! I think we're going to see a lot of tracked out 228i's, m235i's, and m2's btw. The whole platform is ripe for track build outs similar to what the e30 and the e46 m3 were like. And there's one key advantage, I've heard the brakes are already more than sufficient for lapping sessions once proper pads are fitted. Hence, truly a great starting point for a track build out.

The KW competition dampers in that thread are beastly! That kit is probably $4500-$5000

I agree. I think the 2 series platform is going to gain momentum with the track enthusiast group....quickly. I've been a die hard e30 for 15+ years, but they are getting harder to find not rusted out....and you feel bad tracking a really nice one.

For me, the 2 series was the logical choice for a DD/future track car. I opted for the 228 simply for the cost savings as well as a "better balanced" chassis.

I'm very excited to get out on track this year.

A little late to the game on this one but everyone covered it pretty well. We are running a KW Motorsport coilover setup which included the camber plates but they should be the same as the camber plates found on the Clubsport kits. Here is a picture:
