Best Dealers in Sydney & Questions?

Hi All,

I am looking to buy a 2 series for my company car ideally by EOFY.

I use to own a e46 320ci when I was younger so I miss BMW. And after having some other cars I want to jump back into a new BMW.

My question is I notice many dealers offering 2014 build 220i for around 59k and then the brand new ones are around 63k for a 2015 build.

Tho then I notice some demo 220i's seem to range from like 56k to 69k for pretty much the same thing, just with a few options.

BMW 220i F22 Sport Line
BMW 220i F22 M-Sport

I also notice that most BMW dealers seem to be owned by the same guys like BMW Bankstown/ Sylvania - BMW North Sydney ect.. Which dealers are the best to get a deal?

Also should I not even look at 220is should I go for something else? budget around 70k range give or take

Welcome!

Have you test driven the 220i yet? I would jump into a 228i if you're ok to spend $60k+.

Towards high $60s and low $70s you can pick up a demo M235i with plenty of factory warranty, although you may need to look interstate.

I wouldn't restrict your search to just Sydney dealers. Once you have your heart set on a particular car, dealers around the country are all game especially if you're buying new. If you're serious some even fly you over for a chat... I was talking to my local sales and apparently business hasn't been very good lately. I wouldn't imagine it'd be just that one dealer, so chances are this is a good time to get a good deal with EOFY and all.

Good luck!

I am going to go check out a few dealers today as I have some free time in the afternoon. Bankstown and probably Parramatta and see what they are offering.

A friend in Brisbane offered me his 2014 Audi Q7 for 75k haha seems everyone is keen to make a deal in Brisbane at the moment.

Checked out Canterbury and Sylvania today. Talked to this guy Ross, seemed pretty keen to make a deal was offering some good prices on 220i's and 228i's, only issue they had heaps in white and I don't like white...I'll check out some other dealers on Sunday seems you can get good deals on the 2014 builds.

Funny thing I requested some information about cars at Col Crawfords in Brookvale they took like 2 days to reply and when they did they claim the following "our cars will be the best value options available" from some Scott guy. As I live in Cronulla it is like a 1.5 hour treck to Brookvale is this dealer even worth it lol

Hopefully I will buy something in the next 10 days =)

I bought my M235i from them, but it's my 5th new car from them. I get great deals as a result, but generally not the best for customer service. I live a long way away too, so only go there to order and pickup cars. I've tried contacting my latest sales guy there (David Burns), but not sure he's still there as I've not heard back for a few weeks now.

Put a deposit on a 220i msport today.

Msport pack, 18s alloys, advanced parking pack, vis pack, sunroof, lights pack plus a few other things like 5 year service pack.

Was happy with the car and price, pick it up tomorrow.

I also put a deposit on a 228i msport as well today, not as many options as you tho.

Msport, 18s, vis pack, sunroof.

What colour is yours? I chose Alpine white

Nah I bought from Canterbury BMW. I shopped around a bit too and Canterbury gave me the best deal by far. Post some pics of yours!

Do M Sport 220i's come with twin tip exhausts as standard? I spotted one in Punchbowl today that sounded very meaty for a 2.0l engine.. impressed to say the least!

You guys have chosen a great platform

Pretty sure it's single exhaust, twin exhaust would be 228i... and then dual for the M235i (same as the old E90/92 335i)

Congrats on your car! You picked the best colour... Although I am a bit biased, my 135i and 235i are both gray

Thanks for that.. I presume then that it had a performance exhaust installed as it sounded much deeper than the 228i M Sport I drove a few weeks ago.

I don't think there's an M Performance exhaust for the 228i, maybe it had some sort of a custom exhaust or a muffler delete or something...

Hopefully BMW releases a M performance exhaust for the 228, or I'll just wait for Eisenmann to release theirs.
