M "Motosport" Stripes?
Hi all,
Was wondering whether anyone knows where to get the following Blue/Red "stripes" that's available on the M Racing Coupe? It's also seen on this car (non racing coupe) Would appreciate any leads! |

I think any good paint shop would be able to recreate them for you.

I was wondering if it was already readily available as it's not as simple as straight cut vinyls. These curve at the back and have a certain blue sheen to them.
No worries, I'm still sourcing for them, and i'll update this post if I found anything interesting! |

It definitely has a part number to it. Thanks for popping this out. Ah looks like it can be found after all...now we need an etk or something along that line. Thanks again! |

On closer inspection, it looks like the racing one is made of 2 colors(dark blue / red - nicer IMO) , while the training cars have 3 (don't know why they look kinda tacky in the photo - maybe lighting) .

The stripes do look different, but I can't explain it. These are BMW's racing colors - they're always the same. It's possible that the top picture has a deeper purple that's tougher to distinguish from the blue.

I spoke to the german BMW marketing manager (at the nürburgring) - those stripes are NOT designed and sold by BMW. This is a project which he did by himself because he thought that the M colours would perfectly match to Alpinweiss (the traditional colour of german racecars).

Those are the "driving experience" cars from the Nürburgring - until now - from the beginning of 2008 they were replaced by the new M3. BMW "refreshed" the Z's (new clutch, brakes etc.) and now they sell them normaly on the german market...
