TPMS software reprogramming

After a recent incident with my TPMS sensors, I took my car to my local service center asking for the TPMS software reprogram. My SA said "no such bulletin exists" and had never heard of anything of any kind. They checked my car and apparently the left rear sensor was not transmitting (or not being received) and could not be covered under warranty because of my aftermarket 19" wheels. Since then, my car has gone from saying "TPMS inactive" (coming on and off intermittently throughout the day) to flucuating between Tire Low! and TPMS inactive (dinging every time it switches)

At this point I'm getting fed up and am about to have my tire shop take the sensors out and just deal with a single light rather than my BC changing from yellow to red and not allowing me to easily view time, temp, etc.

My question to everyone remains, did anyone receive a "notice" of any kind regarding this software reprogram that I can show my SA to try and get it covered under warranty before abandoning the TPMS sensors altogether? I'd rather not run with a warning light on all the time, but at this point, it would be much less annoying than what I'm currently dealing with.

For reference, here is the original thread where I first heard of the TPMS reprogramming:

I had this issue with my stock wheels and my dealer couldn't even fix it. After I put my on Iforged wheels with TPMS I never had the problem again. Its probably something wrong with the sensor in your left wheel.

All you have to do is buy a new module from the dealer and replace it with the defective one. NEVER take your BMW to get this done at the stealer they will rape you. Just go to your local tire shop and they will swap it or them out. Sometimes they get damaged when swapping from one set of wheels to another that's why it's advisable to get new sensors with new wheels. Problem solved.

Had the exact problem with intermittent "Tire Low" reading when not the case. I have March 07 production, stock wheels and tires, TPMS (metal stems). Took the car into dealer (Ontario BMW) for something else, mentioned the problem and the SA immediately found a TSB for software update related to that issue. Fixed the problem immediately. (I also noticed that my headlights turned corners at a dramatically faster rate than prior to update - another part of the update?)
