Quotes for wrapping roof gloss black?

I have been looking around in the Houston area getting quotes to wrap the roof of my AW 235 gloss black, and most people want $500+ out the door. Is it just me or does this seem high? Anyone done this before?

There is some guy in Sweden that posted pictures of his AW with gloss black roof wrap. It looked great but he didn't have any up close pictures. When I was getting my paint protection put on the guy quoted me 300 Euro for the roof wrap. I am really hesitant to pull the trigger.

Here is a thread a few post down discussing the same thing:

IMO your quote is pretty high. One thing I have realized since that thread is that the weather stripping is built into the glass rather than the roof, so when wrapping the roof you can open the sunroof and you are left with the open hole that is very easy to cut the vinyl around as opposed to having to tuck it into the weather strip on other cars.

Oh and I still haven't gotten mine done, although I still plan to. Just hate having to drop the car off and wait for several hours.

Op... only if you had posted this a few weeks back. I was out in Tx for Tx2k and during my trip I was able to work on a couple of cars. The biggest project being a full color change on a c5 z06 vette. $500 sounds really steep. Here in Cali I would charge roughly $250-$300 depending on the material of your choice. For $500 i'll fly out there and wrap it myself if you like.

Wow this post got popular after a month haha. I ended up deciding to put this on hold for a while as I'm working on other mods at the moment. Thanks for the replies!
