Nut, not nail on Continental RFT back right tire
Got a nut, not a nail, in my right back tire. The nut is in the tread. What should I do? Don't want to buy another tire. Can I fix this tire and drive like normal again (120 mph). I need to drive my car today.

I hear the air coming out but I can still drive. I want to know if I can fix it instead of buying a new one. Only 1200 miles on it.

That's a tough one; can you feel loss of grip and TC coming on?

It looks like you're going to have to change that tire or repair it.

I'm not sure specifically, but, if you take it in I'm sure they can patch it... But, it wouldn't drive the same.

I doubt it'll hold up for 20,000 miles... I guess you're only option is to get a new tire.

Wow, so I would go tomorrow and get a patch on it. How will I notice a difference in performance?

Driving from A to B, the tire should hold up fine. Good luck. |

Yes, put my car to 80 to 120 mph in highway and take tight turns. Would it hold?

I would ultimately just replace the tire, if not both rear tires. |

I see. I will then order my tire tomorrow from tirerack if thats the cheapest option, didn't get the tire warranty. But for now, I will patch it in the morning and drive for a week carefully. I always though a patch will patch you wheel like normal.

Don't try and fix that. I recommend getting a new tire.
Have fun |
