Bilstein coilovers installed

First thread started ever so bear with me. I had installed bilstein coilovers a few weeks back and I thought I would share pictures. If im missing anything and I'm sure I am, let me know.
Im loving the ride quality, much better than stock. The car is more responsive, you can feel a noticeable lower center of gravity when driving. There's less body roll, and takes corners much better as well.
I do have a minor issue or 2:
1. The car is maxed out on threads on the rears, I can fit a finger in there. So it may not go as low as you may like it if super low is what you're aiming for. I may cut the springs but Im still on the fence. These are able to lower the suspension by about 2 inches in the fronts and rears.
2. When you hit a pothole, you're going to know about it. (Although I have low profiles)The ride quality when daily driving is way above stock, however potholes are less forgiving. Coming from 17's and run flats to 19's, low pros, and coils, the ride was night and day. For the better I believe, despite the way I cringe when I see a pothole coming up.
I live in New England, so the roads especially on the highways and parkways are terrible. On the flip side, the ride driving on a decent general street with little bumps or cracks or uneven streets are much smoother driving over, almost as if gliding right over.
This may seem biased but I don't have a lot to compare to in regards to other coilovers, just stock sport line suspension.
I got them from Jeff from awe tuning who had them for the lowest price I could find at the time and he was very helpful.
The part number's 47-207233 if anyone was thinking about pulling triggers.
Bottom line if you want quality parts, a decent price, a noticeable drop, and better daily driving ride other than major road obstacles, these are great.

looking good! Tim told me about your car but I haven't seen you around.

You should try removing the rear perches before cutting the springs, if you still have them in place

Cutting the spring, other than shoddy workmanship, will alter the characteristics of the suspension. These springs/dampers usually are of the progressive nature, meaning that as they compress more they offer a different resisting force (F=kx). If they are cut 1" shorter, that is 1" less of travel they will have and consequently the resulting force is different during that event and there will be different damping results, probably out of the design range of the damper... i.e. worse ride quality and/or bottoming out.

Thanks man. But I didn't even know anyone else had a 2 series around my way in CT lol. I commute to stratford on 95 every single day early in the morning and never get back home until sundown, I never see any 2's. I can ask tim but I'm sure that the perches are still on the car.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know what cutting would have such a negative effect on the operation of the actual dampening system. I wasn't going to exactly cut an inch, but I know the owner who does all of my work to the car and he cut the same exact coilover springs on his gf's 4 series in the rear and worked out great.

Please DO NOT cut the springs! You can easily convert to a different spring that is shorter. Don't cheap out and cut them.....been there, done that.....it sucks!

I agree with everyone that has said to NOT cut the springs. I think it looks nice the way it is and I know it works well, which is more important anyway.

That's looks great. Are they rebound and damping adjustable or just single?

they're rebound and dampening adjustable. I'm on more of the softer side right now but down the road I may go more firm to compare.

Thanks for your input, If it could damage the car's dampening system or make for a harsher ride, I'm not going to. I'm glad I get steered in the right direction around here.

That's cool. Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at these or the KW's that GSR is using for track duty.
