2nd time driving since purchase.. 1st 1/4 time

Ok guys like the title said... This is my 1st time at the drag strip with this car but very familiar with 1/4'ing. Car is a 07 335i 6mt and has dual cone filters, ar charge pipe and jb4 on map 2 and map 5... At 1st i was shifting at redline then a fellow e90 friend said to shift at 6k... Car did 14.1 best time and best trap was 105.99... The mph i am ok with however i was expecting low 13's.. Seems there is a significant turbo lag or the car doesnt like fast shifting and jb4 just regulates power or something, im new to the platform and still learning to launch my 1st and only rwd and boosted car. Seems when i shift ill be back on the gas and the car doesnt even realise ive already shifted and back on the gas, right inbetween shift and back on the gas the car wont respond immediately instead the hazard wil flash once then the car gets going again. Not sure what that is about.

Ya I'm pretty much stock and I did a 14.3 at 97mph so you should be doing way better. Mind you I'm auto and xDrive.

I thought the 335's optimal shift point was 5500. With all those mods you should definitely be doing better. Maybe the car has some issues under the bonnet and is holding back to protect your powertrain.

Peak power is probably at 5800rpm for most tunes on stock turbos and stock inlets. But you should shift a bit later than that (approx. 6200rpm), so that the car stays in the power band after the shift.

You need to log... My guess is that your tune isn't dialed in and suffer from the common post shift timing flat-lining. Spend some time on N54tech.com

It's a timing issue between shifts, causing boost to have to come back up to peak boost. Also, make sure you take your foot all the way off the pedal when shifting. Accel pedal should read 0%

ET is all based on your short time. (60')...

Without listing what your 60' ET is, nobody can guess what needs to be worked on.....

You ran 106mph trap. Not bad at all. With lets say a 1.85 60', your ET would have been close to 13.2-13.4 on an ideal pass. Guessing your 60' was around 2.15-2.3?
