can't fill fuel tank

Anyone have trouble filling their fuel tank ? I have to hold the fuel nozzle upside down to get the fuel in the tank, It's the same with recovery or non-recovery type nozzles, My stealership in Sacramento says there's nothing wrong with it .

I do have trouble filling my tank sometimes, the auto stop function of the nozzle engages instantly some times or before the tank is actually full other times. I have to basically force it in as far as possible and hold it tipped up a little for it to work. I'm used to it now and found the trick but it's still a little annoying.

I have had success with forcing the nozzle pipe down into the car with the handle on the nozzle directed towards the rear of the car.

Same issue - well sort of. My car is brand new and first time I filled it up the pump shut off and I thought it was full. Got in, started driving and noticed that the needle was slightly under the F.

I haven't had this problem at all. It sure sounds like a venting issue. That would be the evap system which is covered by the emissions warranty. So you have a long time to sort it out. (8-10 years)

Don't leave the car running when filling your car.. That's silly and wrong.

Don't fill your tank past when it clicks, if you do you are going to fill the EVAP's Charcoal Canister with fuel, and ruin it. After a while it will no longer do what it was designed to and it is a pricey item to replace.
