Painted Stock Wheels

Has anyone painted the stock wheels on their 235? My car is BSM and although i like the darker 436 wheels, i just think a silver would look better, or maybe another color. Has anyone experimented with doing this?

Finally! Someone wanting to go lighter!

I haven't seen any stock wheels painted lighter, only really aftermarket wheels in lighter shades....

I keep pondering plasti-dipping mine white, but the stock brake pads are sooo dusty. It would be a cleaning nightmare.

Go with style 461M, they are the same size but much more silvery! Smoother spokes as well...

Do a search for "powder" in this subforum. You'll come across some of my (and others') posts on powder coating wheels, which is what you should pursue.

You can get pretty much anything metal powder coated pretty much any color you want -- in fact, that's the type of finish that's used on most stock wheels from most manufacturers. Even colors like neon yellow or green, if you'd like -- and some shops will even do multi-tone looks. The same process is used to 'paint' most bare metal surfaces properly, including caliper housings, engine parts, and nonmoving structural pieces such as motorcycle frames. The one common exception is aluminum, which can be anodized (a process that electrically bonds pigment to the metal, essentially making the color part of the metal) as well as powder coated.

Also don't have that stupid groove that's impossible to clean.
