OEM M235i Coupe Trunk spoiler fit the M235i convertible?

Does any one know if the OEM M235i Coupe Trunk spoiler fits the M235i convertible?

The back edge of the trunk looks the same but it does not come with one from the factory, nor offered as an option.

Thinking of getting one to complete the back of my GF's new convertible.

How so? How different is it? Do you think it could be ground down to fit? It has to be painted anyway.

The curve is all wrong, the ends are off by at least 1" per side.

Maybe the M performance spoiler is different to OEM coupe spoiler?

Getting conflicting info guys. May have to just buy a new OEM and see if it fits or can be modified. Any other folks try it?

That was the thread that lead me to trying one out. I even asked if it was just glued on.

I have an EB OEM from a 235 coupe and it does not fit my 228 cab, it looks wrong as the end points do not align with the trunk lip / body.

Weird. The pic in the link seems fine. End points are not out of alignment.

Pic is a 235, not a 228. Just saying...

I can take pics of the spoiler on the trunk as soon as I get my ride back. This might help.

Thanks. Are you suggesting 228 and 235 vert do not share the same boot/trunk lid? Anyway, the car in question (in OP) is M235i convertible.

Seems doubtful to me. I am questioning if the M235i coupe trunk spoiler will fit on the M235i convertible. Doubt the 228 has a different trunk, but who knows.

Any chance the spoiler was not from a 2 series? What is the part number on the one you bought?

I bought it off a forum member who pulled it off his 235 coupe. If I line up the end points, the middle of the spoiler sticks out past the trunk lip. If I use the center of the spoiler and align it to the trunk, the end points are 1" or so in front of the curve of the trunk.

Don't know how else to explain it.

I hear you, but that just doesn't jive with why the M-Perfomance carbon fiber trunk spoiler seems to fit both the Coupe and Convertible.

Wish you had taken a picture of it sitting on the trunk lid to visually verify that you are not just a mechanical dope when it comes to installing it.

Just kidding! Appreciate the feedback. Thx!

I thought the same thing! I even made my wife come out and look and she came to the same conclusion, the damn thing just doesn't look right. I just downloaded the picture of the white cab with the CF spoiler, and if I zoom in it doesn't line up to the trunk lip line either. Is this how all the spoilers look?

Was just looking at the coupe tonight when picking up my GF's convertible from service. Damned if I forgot to take a pic. As long as it is not egregious, I feel certain it can be sanded down/heat shaped to fit since it has to be painted anyway. Gonna keep researching it.

If you decide to buy one, I have a OEM from my 2015 m235i it is the glacier silver metallic one. I got the CF spoiler installed from BMW so they gave me the OEM back. PM me if you decide to buy it. I live in North Jersey.

PM me with a price. I'd have to possibly modify and paint it AW to make it work.

If your going to buy one, take mine as it's totally useless to me. Cost is $25 and shipping.

Though I appreciate it, you already said yours doesn't fit, leading me to think you have one from the wrong model or something else. Thanks.
