Which tint % to get?
I have a dilemma about tinting my f30 335i msport mineral grey metallic car.
I am going with the spectra photosync brand of tint done by Premier in Fremont, CA. I am manly getting the tint because the back of my neck burns from the sun when driving and for the comfort of my passengers. I am getting 75% in the front sides and for the back sides I am torn between 55 and 35 or has anybody done 75 all around and are happy with it? I am not looking for the tint color to add to the beauty of the vehicle. Those of you who have gotten 55 or 35 for the back windows which looked nicer with the mineral grey metallic color of the car? I have heard nothing but great reviews about Premier and photosync so if anybody has some negative reviews I would like to hear. Thanks, Chris |

I have 35% ceramic done all around, and 50% on my windshield. It makes the car look awesome in the sunlight, and I can still see through all windows clearly at night. Check your local laws though, you don't want to get busted!

I have 35 all around. Don't know the exact brand I have, however I can ensure you that it reduces the intensity of the sun significantly. If the sun is shining, I can put my hand in direct line with the sun without feeling uncomfortable. Can't do that with my windows down.

I recently got PhotoSync window tint (75 front & 35 sides/back). Great product IMHO.

Allright, I see...especially the Bavarian approval medal is very well made.

How much does Premier charge for all the windows besides the windshield? Been looking to get mine done for a while now but I was planning to go to Best Image in San Mateo. They do quality work and do all 7 windows for $195.

75 is way too light and TBH you won't be able to tell the difference.
I was very afraid of going too dark and not being able to see. I decided with 39 on sides+rear. Its actually pretty perfect as its not too dark like the 35's I see but its dark enough to give a bit of privacy/sun block. |

50% all around (except windshield) and I think its perfect. My car color is sparkling graphite so very similar to mg.
IMHO, I think uniform tint all around like better than dark rear and lighter fronts. But of course that's my personal opinion. |

Agreed, an even tint job all around looks better than lighter fronts. I even went as far as doing my windshield (went lighter on the windshield though so cops might not notice!). It looks much better now.

Just picked up the car and everything looks first rate! I decided to get 55% on the sides and the back. The tint does not look dark at all. Here are some quick shots at around 4pm So the light is lower in the sky. So far it looks like Premier did a first rate job on my photosync.
Thanks for all your help. Chris |

Do you see a blue haze in your windshield when the sun is hitting it?

BTW, I like your 55% PhotoSync on your MG. My installer only offered 35% and 75% or I may have considered 55%. How did Premier do around the dot matrix? I'd say mine are about 85% covered and only noticeable since I know its there.

I just recently purchased my 2015 328i and the first thing I did to it was get my windows tinted. I had 20% done all around except my front windshield. I think it looks quite nice especially when the car is white. Sorry for the horrible picture quality. Just took some shots with my cellphone.
