Random VI
I'm curious? Do cops give out random vehicle inspection or something here?
Not sure how to phrase it, suppose you park the car outside and you find a slip or something. but I think you guys get what I mean :P |

In my experience, they will not leave a ticket on your car for equipment violations other than no front plate or expired tags/inspection.
When you're driving, that's another story - they can ticket you for a lot more in that scenario. IE: Tint, exhaust, etc.

Got to love NOVA law enforcement, they pulled over my wife and I in her KIA Sportage to check our tint level, that was a dealer install option btw. I couldn't believe it. It was an unmarked sedan to boot. Must be he thought we were crack dealers or something!

Fairfax County PD will most definitely pull you over for tint. Ask me how I know.
Play dumb and say you just bought the car and its from Florida. Usually will let you off with a warning unless they're a douche

They don't pull people for legal tint levels (almost never). 20% seems to be the point where you'll always be pulled for tint.

Yes, unless you're in a domestic V8. But, this one is definitely more rare than pulling you for tint.

lol doubtful. I've only seen that happen once and it was years back when I was living in GA. Dude had Firehawk, blower, headers running straight pipes with an e-cutout. We were at a meet at this burger joint (all cars invited) he comes rolling up with the e-cutouts open. Literally maybe 2 seconds later a cop flew in right behind him and pulled him over at a gas station across the st. Gave him a noise violation ticket bc they town we were in had an ordinance. This thing was deafening loud. As far as I know it wasnt a 'fix it' ticket but just a fine.
I dont think you have anything to worry about whatsoever. Calm down on the paranoia |
