M3 front bumper on F30?

Has anyone tried the Selma M3-style front bumper for the F30? I'm still deciding if this is something I want to do, as I'm not interested in being a poser. That being said, it's a nice front bumper...

EDIT: There is a mod bargains version too... http://goo.gl/d0SM5W

I thought about the M3 style vs the M Tech, but ultimately settled on the M Tech. Having said that, it seems a lot of forum members have procured bumpers from Selma and fitment/quality seems to be good.

+1 on Selma. Heard good things about them.

I say go for it if its something you like. You are not being a poser. Its your car and your money. There will be people on this forum who will bring out the pitch forks and start a witch hunt on you but frankly who cares. You are entitled to mod it in any way you want.

As long as you don't stick an M3 badge on, I think it's a fine mod. I have M3 style grilles and M3 inspired sideview mirrors, but I don't think I'm a poser lol.

Imo a bit too aggressive for the non-M F30 cause it's missing the aggressive fender flare from the M3.

But if you really like it, why not heh.

Ya, if you go with the M3 badge, we will throw eggs at you!

I saw this lady driving around Irvine, CA with a red 428 that has an M3 badge. I would've taken a photo but I was driving.

I would go with the Msport 4 doors version or the 4 series coupe which is more appropriate.

Well I already have the M-Sport bumper but it got messed up. So if I'm going to spring for a new bumper, this is a question I'm asking myself right now. And no, there are no M badges in my future lol.

No way I would do this to my 335. OEM Msport bumper looks better to me than ebay bumper.

I've seen a lot of F30 here in Malaysia retrofitted with the M3 bodykits (front and rear bumper and sometimes, the vented fenders) and they all looks like a joke with or without the M3 badge in the rear or in the front grille.

Sometimes it's just not meant to be lol.

mngobara,
I have the same bumper and I love it. I just had it installed by a local body shop today.
Now, I need to remove the tow hook cover so I can install my license plate frame on there, but I can't figure out how to remove it. May I ask if you know how to do that? Please advise!

Thanks

I would do a magnet conversion for $10

Removing the bumper is a piece of cake...

You have to push in on one of the edges (top, bottom, or one of the sides). It will pop out at an angle and you can remove it.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your help!
It turned out that this tow hook cover is not like the OEM design. All you need to do is to pry it out from the top of the cover.

Your car looks great but I would omit the fog lights. It's just my opinion, but I think it looks meaner without the lights.

Hi maa335iF30,
Thank you! I thought about doing that also. But I really like the automatic corner light feature and it won't work without the fog lights.

Great looking car. I think you did well with keeping the fog lights, I have them as well and I like them, there is no way I would get rid of them, they serve a purpose.
